Great guitar. I have a '98 CU22. I yanked that rotary out of there, and put in a McCarty wiring with 3-way toggle and push/pull tone. So, now I get 3 hum bucking, and 3 single coil tones.

Good illustration to why the J45 is one of the most used guitars for recording, it just sounds good. The D35 sounded muddy and boomy in comparison. Probably sounds lovely in the room though. Great playing guys. 👍

The fingerboard on yours looks great. The one on mine looks horrible. Blonde streaks and 2 toned.

Custombuckers sound amazing, but the fact that they’re unpotted gives me pause. I know that’s a big reason for their tone, but I’ve heard they can produce pretty bad feedback if you like to play really heavy gain stuff. The 225 Parsons pickups are potted, so it’s much less likely that you’ll have to deal with feedback. That said, I didn’t hear any feedback from the Gibson in this video, so what do I know?

Fit and finish on the Heritage is so much nicer. The sound is subjective and can be dialed to your liking. Both sound good.

Im not crazy about those new Heritage pickups. Are they Alnico 3’s? They make great guitars if I were them I would do a PAF with degaussed A5 magnet in the 8.5K range. More versatile pickup that would appeal to a broader audience.

Late to the party but exceptional playing! I bought a Les Paul standard 50s that I love, but one day when I get the chops yall have, I’ll get a beast of a R9 or an amp that exceptional.

Well done boys, sounds amazing! I have a beatutiful custom built Taylor guitar and now I'm looking to buy another really nice guitar so am considering the Martin D18, D35 or Gibson J45. I really like the Martins and my wife who has a good ear says she likes the sound of the Martin better but I tend to lean toward the sweet and smooth sound and feel of the J45. Tough decision! Thanks for posting. Can't afford to have 3 nice guitars. Will be keeping the Taylor and I'm thinking I will be getting a J45...not sure....

I love the feel of a strat, but the sound of a les paul. For me PRS was the outcome i had to take. Myself got a PRS DGT SE gold top. Its my second guitar after the classic vibe 60s strat. So happy with all of it.

Stock pickups ?? Sounds awesome. Your a great player. I myself recently got the PRS DGT SE. Sounds so so good. Perfect guitar. Now saving money to get the core dgt -> love alter bridge and mark tremonti.

I just got the Gibson 61 SG Standard in classic white, it's 6.12 lbs, I'm absolutely loving the tones I'm getting with the unpotted 60 burstbuckers. The SG has a sound of its own, aggressive rock king..

I've probably owned over 60 guitars during my life. The CE24 stands out in the top 3. Some days it's #1! Play ability is insanely great!

The bolt on feels like a set with the snap of a bolt .. it’s the best in class and maybe Paul’s best guitar .. you can get true to ear single coil splits too.. it’s a do all super duper Strat imo

Played GHS acoustic phosphor bronze for a couple of decades. Now I’m playing their Infinity Bronze (coated) and they are just wonderful sounding strings. I love GHS.

Heritage are good guitars but still cannot beat Gibson custom shop! Long term resale of Gibsons are higher and more stable.
